agree and amplify, if someone makes fun of you agree and add on to it, the more alpha guy is the one who is not bothered by anything, also it might help if you change your attitude, you dont 'deserve' any respect, respect is either earned, lost, or taken, no one gives it to you

Go make friends outside the group. When they have to compete for your time, they'll learn that honey makes better bait than vinegar.

In the meantime, you've learned a valuable lesson. Don't commit to any person or organization until you give them a test-drive and like how they treat you.

Build people up... whenever someone makes fun of you, do your best to pay them a real, genuine compliment the next time an opportunity presents itself.

Forget being alpha and start building a life that you enjoy. It starts with loving yourself, because if you love yourself, nothing anyone else says will affect you at all.

You know how it hurts when someone makes fun of you? That's not other people hurting you – that's you hurting yourself, because you agree with what they're saying!

So stop agreeing. Set boundaries. For those who cross your boundaries, warn them once, then if they continue, start living life as if they don't exist.

Plan and lead events with your friends. Bring new groups of friends together. If you guys are ribbing each other and you want to take the wind from their sails you can either agree and amplify as noted before, or just look them in the eye, say "Yupp" and continue on like normal because it doesn't affect you.

This is just something guys do. If you ever work in a shop or warehouse or in construction guys do this to each other constantly. You have to learn to grow some thicker skin. If you can be funny and sharp witted, retaliate. If you can't, just ignore it. It will only get worse if you can't defend yourself properly and try to. It just makes you look stupid. I see this all the time at work.

The desire for respect itself is beta. The alpha doesn't care about respect. Not because the alpha is implicitly respected (or that it's wrong to expect common courtesy and the like), but because the alpha doesn't care about nonsense validation of the ego.

The alpha would never say, "nobody respects me!1!11!". The alpha would go, "who cares about respect, let's have fun and relax!" Yes, I'm exaggerating, but I stand by my point.

Get into a fight with one of them. Go toe to toe with them. If you win then your alpha status will increase significantly. If you lose your alpha status will still increase bc the other guys won't see you as a pussy anymore. Win or lose you will still move up the "Alpha" ladder. It is human nature to sense the weaker of the group and to poke fun at them BC we get such a reaction from the weakest link or pansy of the group. People don't tease or poke fun of the ALPHA 24/7 bc they know if it gets too deep then the ALPHA will snap and there will be a fight on their hands. It would also help to be an ass and make fun of those just as bad as they do you. Don't let whatever they say bother you... heck you could prob just poke fun at your self so then they wont have anything to tease you about. If that doesn't work you can always say "Your mom!" whenever they say start to poke fun at you. That might start a fight so stand up to that person, fight it out, and win or lose you will still receive a status change. Good Luck and remember ALWAYS: have fun, laugh at yourself and others, love your woman (or man), respect others, demand respect from others, be an asshole, and don't let people run over you. (P.S- This is my first time to ever comment on a reddit so... yea!!)
