I believe the mods encourage sedditors to not engage in those discussions. 9/10 attempts at "defending us" is either terrible from an argumentative standpoint or is simply showered with hate and preemptively dismissed no matter what the commenter specifically says. Hopefully a mod sees this and can clarify.

I wanted anyone who wants to retort to at least be aware of this. I personally feel no need to defend myself from those kinds of attacks. Blanket statements and uninformed opinions expressed in a subreddit which I never read doesn't really concern me. I can't say that my jimmies are 100% unrustled after reading, but then I just remember that these opinions:

1) Belong to people who I will most likely never meet, and

2) Are used to describe real creeps.

What I mean is they are right to think that certain practices in the PUA community are morally depraved. The people who use them are either morally depraved too or just misunderstanding their actual use. However, I almost never see that stuff here. I agree that certain terms like f-closing are kinda silly (I don't f-close them, I just say I fuck them) but whatever, it doesn't hurt me and I don't think it hurts anyone else.

But I know that almost all the content here is generated with the best of intentions, not only for us who needed (and still need) this help but also for the girls that we want to be with. I think most of us just want be happy and spread that happiness as much as possible to those around us. I think that a minority simply wants to get laid while being upfront with their intentions, which I think is 100% ok. And then there is an even smaller minority who wants to fuck sexy bitches at any cost.

This is the group which everyone hates. Unfortunately, that's the group that some people think makes up the vast majority of the users here. But I think that's ok. I know why the fuck I'm here, and it isn't to be that kind of person. I don't think most of them hate me anyways. And those who would hate me only based on the fact that I'm subscribed here are probably not worth wasting time on.

The one bad apple always ruins the bunch. Plus, what that guy said, I'm not sure I could come up with a situation and proper frame where that would ever work.

Really it's the same for any skill. You start off bad at it and (hopefully) get better.

Christ....that guy is an asshole by our standards, he did everything all wrong. He's not a PUA, just a giant douche. Why can't they get that? I have dealt with some psycho-feminazi bitches in my time, but that never made me go "Hey, you know what. All feminists are just like that. Girls suck! Amirite guys?"

Seriously though, there's no point in defending ourselves, let them circlejerk themselves into oblivion think we're all these kind of assholes.
