Some background, I am pretty inexperienced with every single aspect of dating, so I joined this subreddit a while ago and started reading the game. Still inexperienced.

I finally worked up the balls to ask a girl from one of my classes to coffee. I think it went pretty well: lots of eye contact, smiling, a tiny bit of kino, hell, I even managed to get us sitting at a 90 degree angle from each other. So after the date ( around a good 30 mins before I sensed conversation waning and I received a phone call "reminding me that I was supposed to be meeting a friend to study in ten minutes") I went ahead and told her "Let's get dinner sometime," to which she replied "Oh! ok sure" I think the tone with which she responded sounded enthusiastic, but maybe she was just surprised who knows.

Anyways, I was looking to get some ideas on what to do next. What would you guys do, what do you think I should do? Any advice about anything would be awesome. I was planning on calling her today and seeing when she was free this weekend. But isn't it better to do some sort of activity in combination with dinner instead of just dinner?

Looking forward to hearing what you guys think. Also,it's a tiny bit time sensitive since I was going to call and ask today, but it's not a big deal if I call tomorrow I guess.

EDIT: This may seem like I'm asking for advice about a specific girl, but that's because it's my first time doing any of this (lol) so any tips would go towards an outline I would use in future situations as well.

Update: I've taken what all of you have said into consideration, I'm way over thinking this! I will try to loosen up and just have fun. In other news, She didn't answer the phone, and I'm not going to crawl around continually calling her and texting her to invite her to dinner, if she doesn't call back she's the one missing out, I'll go eat with my friends instead. Thanks for all of the advice, regardless of whether or not this one works out, it will help with whomever is next :)
