So I decided to head into the mall for my lunch break to kill time, walk around, you know regular boring nonsense. Then an HB7, cute little thing caught my eye, only having 5 minutes to get back to work I said 'fuck it why not'. Thing that made me a bit hesitant was the fact that she was working. Usually in my own experience, girls who are working don't like to be bothered with this nonsense and just want to focus on work. What do you guys think??

Anyways, she works at a Virgin Mobile kiosk, I approached, made eye contact from about 8 meters away and went from there.

Her: Hi! How can I help you?

Me: Hey, so I recently got myself a new phone (truth) and was looking around for a better plan.

Her: Ok perfect, let me show you the rates and different promotions we offer etc. etc.

Being short on time I cut her off and jumped to this

Me: Before that do you know if I can keep the same number when I switch? Currently I'm with Fido.

Her: Yeah for sure, (she goes on for like 15 seconds to explain how it works)

Me: You know what, honestly, I'm not too sure I want the same number.

Her: Well you can choose a new one if you want

Me: Do you think I can get your number instead?

She giggles and turns slightly, she's feeling shy. I'm in. She clearly felt a bit uncomfortable but that didn't stop me from not breaking eye contact and giving her a genuine look of interest. After a short pause, I introduced myself and asked her what her name was, I looked at my watch and made a notion that I had to leave. Right before I turned around ready to walk away, she gave me the generic Virgin business card and write her number on the back.

Her: I don't usually do this kind of stuff ..

Me: It's all good, I hear that a lot from girls. (I say bye and end it there and head back to work).

I was absolutely shocked that this worked, I have yet to text or call her, so I can't be 100% sure the number is legit, but all things considered I never thought I would number close on my lunch break from work. This taught me one thing; You can't get it if you don't even try.
