This was an f-close during finals. I'd k-closed about a month earlier, but sort of forgotten about her until I ran into her on the weekend before this conversation. "Drinking chess" was a game we had agreed to play together, but had never actually done. Called her, she texted back within 20 minutes.

The "tricky situation" was off/on status with her ex-boyfriend. I wasn't trying to get involved in any drama, so I didn't press too hard at any point.

I'm not really happy with my last text of the first night. It's very AFC, not leading or presenting a strong face at all. I should've just told her I had a movie in mind that we would watch. Probably wouldn't have changed the outcome of that first night (I learned later that she was at her ex's place the first night), but still.

She just texted me two days ago asking if I'm still on campus for the summer. I'm not, but its a great lead-in for when I come back in the fall.

Here's my contribution: Text seduction doesn't work for me. I use text to communicate logistics and not much more.

What works for me is generating attraction face-to-face so that she'll want more.
