I have not posted here in quite sometime now, but I have improved and learned a lot from here and other people; mainly from Mark Manson and David Wygant these two helped me create my own style to be confident and talk to women. Change my whole perspective. But I never agree with them 100%

Now to the point at hand. Is peacocking really necessary? I understand the whole concept that was originated from Mystery and even before that. But what is the point of having a crutch to talk to women? There are many crutches to help us to seduce women: alcohol, cannabis, peacocking, alpha male frame, one-liners, and even this subreddit.

Do not get me wrong, I love this subreddit but what is the point of learning theory if you are not out and being proactive about it?

Peacocking is the stupidest thing ever, for me at least. I have tried it and has worked, but it does not mean that I'm going to use the same goofy hat all the time. Peacocking is out-of-date and should be only use in certain occasions.

What brought this up is this recent post. This guy is doing great, but there is no point of having to funny hat if you are not going to use it as a conversation starter; which Mystery does with his "unique" pieces of clothing or accessories.

Peacocking causes to have a dependence on a material item, almost like if it were a lucky charm. In reality it is supposed to be a crutch or a set of training wheels to help start a conversation; a crutch for approach anxiety.

u/airmcnair06 did a great job in his FR. He did needed to escalate more and he did see his weaknesses that he needed to improve on. But not once did he use that tiger hat/Peruvian beanie to help him. It was a placebo effect!

He did all that by himself! Not some stupid hat that made the whole room go, "HOLY SH*T THAT IS AN AWESOME HAT."

He had the tenacity to go out on the dancefloor and DANCE.

The only thing I did not like about his FR is that he was to hard on himself. He undersold his abilities, saying that he suck at doing this and that...blah blah blah. Point is he better for it now. He is now improved, even-though it was a small victory. But it is the small victories that make your night.

I am not by any means a expert or PUA, just an average joe looking to express my opinions.
