Best and worst ways to take advantage of living in a co-ed dorm?

I'll move in for my senior year in a couple of weeks. Everything except most bathrooms is coed (I think one coed bathroom per floor). Anyone with experience in a similar situation - is this a "don't shit where you eat" situation? Alternately, is this fair game as with a regular dorm or does that tend to make things awkward?

If not, how can I use this as an opportunity to improve my confidence/conversation ability around new people, based on your coed experience? What does and doesn't cross the line when interacting with girls on my floor?
