I'm mostly a beginner to this stuff, but lately I've been making some strides with approaching, getting number/dates and the such. However, one thing I'm noticing now, is that the girls that I do fool around with end up becoming girls I get overly attached to. If I find out that they have other guys in their life, I get jealous. I end up trying probably way too hard to hang out with them, and when things don't fall through It'll really bug me. Some times I'll express this frustration to the girl and end up digging a hole for myself.

I'd just like some good advice, other than "get more girls," on how to not become so attached. Especially when you're at the stage where you've got a girl you like really digging you back.
