Tinder is a numbers game and first impressions count. But it's "less work" of the two since it's essentially based on whether you both have mutual physical attraction.

It's used more as a hook up than a dating app (though both can happen) and it's pretty fun and mindless.

Okcupid has more girls looking to date and get into a relationship, but you can still use it to simply hook up. It's a bit more difficult though since you'll often need to flesh out your profile and stand out amongst the rest of guys who bombard a girl's inbox with a shit ton of messages daily.

Though it shouldn't be too hard since a lot of first impression messages girls get are a variation of "wassup. wuz good?".

Essentially they're both numbers game at its core, with one being more superficial and other a tad less so.

I fucking KILL it with OKCupid; type up a message telling you why you were interested in her profile, show her you're witty and smart. Do not fuck around with talking back and fourth for a shitload of time.

Since I started going for the in-person meetup within 6 messages BETWEEN US, I slay it. Of the responses I get, basically all of them will agree to meet up, and they'll text me when I say "Well I'm having fun, I'd love to meet up; send me a text, lets make some plans"

Tinder and OKC will open your eyes to the amazing powers of photoshop. Expect most girls to be at least 15 lbs heavier then their profile pictures. Also on OKC "about average" = whale.

I get my share of hook ups when I go out, but haven't more than a few responses online. It could be how I word myself versus my presentation in person, but I find there's more out there atually going out.

Give it a shot. You'll have better overall experiences in person, but doing a little of the online thing has definitely given me some extra preparation for those. Just expect a million rejections and don't get hung up over any individual match. It's more important to say something memorable/different because if she's hot she'll get like 100 messages a day, versus being at a bar where 10 guys max will have the balls to converse with her (beyond making some dumb pass, at least).

The point is the same as in-person game, to make little connections with people. It's simple and should be fun.
