Stop basing your sense of self-worth on someone's opinion of your 2-second first impression. As long as you take action in life, you are worthy.

But really, I don't believe that you can "logicize" away your emotions. That's why they are emotions. It just takes time and experience to emotionally internalize, "hey, this really doesn't matter". You just have to do it.

Just try to think of times when you've rejected perfectly attractive desirable women. Sometimes they just remind you of someone you didnt like or they seem too different from you, even though they're hot and awesome - just not for you. I think thats the least damaging way to look at it.

Know yourself. No, I don't mean know your perception of yourself. I mean really get to know deep down who you really are. Get in touch with your soul to the point where you love yourself and are your best friend. Then you will truly be unaffected by the opinions of others. That being said, it's much easier said than done but meditation is a good start. I still struggle myself.

Know yourself, know your worth, be confident in yourself, your abilities. Be outcome independent, focus on having fun. Look at it as their loss.

I stopped looking at it as being "shot down." That phrase sucks. I look at it more as "the right set of circumstances didn't happen to be there with this one". Being rejected isn't a loss, it's a win by a landslide. A.) you had the nuts to take a chance, and B.) it obviously wasn't going to work with her anyway. Don't waste energy on something that isn't going to happen, or most likely isn't going to be good even if it DOES happen. Take pride in the fact that you attempted it where many others wouldn't, and understand NOBODY wins them all.

Try to get rejected by as many women a you can in a night. That way you can learn how not to act.
