If you feel the need for her to recognize and validate your attempt at demonstrating value to her...then you're being needy. Here's an exercise you can try.

First: Write out on paper exactly what kind of girl you like...I'm talking about your perfect 10. Find a pic of the ideal girl too if you can online...I don't care how hot...your ideal dream girl. But don't focus just on looks looks either. What's her attitude like? Common interest? Be picky as hell...women are. This is your ideal woman. Write it down. - Now you've done what every woman does...they think a lot about the kind of guy they want...their fantasy ideal. If you do this too you are balancing the power a bit because you have standards and very specific things you want. She will pick up on this in your body language.

Next: Next time you go out I want you to read that piece of paper just before hand. When you initiate conversations with any girl I want you to hold off on any judgment good or bad. Do NOT be impressed with her physical beauty...after all it's really common and not what makes a girl a keeper. Find out more about her on a deeper level. This will help you find out whether SHE measures up to YOUR expectations.

Other quick tips: 1. Style...dress well. 10% better than anyone at the venue (power dressing) - you will feel better about yourself and its the easiest DHV you can do with little effort 2. Warm up on girls you don't give a shit about - break the cobwebs loose 3. Have a wingman who get's it...not a wussy friend that holds you back 4. No more than 1 or 2 drinks. Alcohol kills your game...period.

It is a tough balance to strike. Some thoughts;

1- Even when you think are being "nice" you are most likely just being emotional. Your emotions have a weird way of influencing your behavior when you don't even know it. If you looked at it objectively, most girls deserve a lot less praise/compliments than you give them.

2- Put yourself in their shoes. If they heard your compliment/praise, would they see it as genuine? Or would they see it as you just trying to be nice?

3- Be as logical as possible. If they did a painting, don't be like "oh my god that's the best painting ever!!" - that's obviously bullshit. Be like "you have a good use of color. It is very similar to Picasso" or something like that.

4- When in doubt, don't be nice.

Often they give themselves value anyway, regardless of what you do. Err on the side of disregard and unabashed confidence. Hell, I kissed a girl after a soft rejection a few days ago. Changed everything. Just run with anything that seems solid

I don't understand the giving value question. You show desire for her not value her. Confident individuals give themselves value. Value is more of a thing when you get into a relationship and trust is involved. I do see genuine compliments as something different than value. Semantics...
