I've always felt like dealing with women was like walking on eggshells. From my mother, to my female friends, and generally the women I seem to come into association with. There's seemingly no telling when something is going to strike them wrong, no understandable logic behind it - you say one wrong thing, and you're in the dog house, or getting bitten by a pissed off reaction, or maybe just met with complete cessation of contact without any explanation. And there was nothing you could do about it.

Many women on my facebook thread are the same way: I read posts like, "OMG I went out on a date with this guy, and he (did some random minor thing), forget him!" Jesus Christ, how could I succeed on a date like that when any possible thing I say or do could get me dismissed for reasons I couldn't possibly know?

Meanwhile, I was watching some 'Simple Pickup' videos on youtube, I'm sure many of you are familiar with them, and thinking, "these are the most understanding, down-to-earth women I've ever seen. Even when the women are not interested, they're actually...sane and friendly about it." That has so not been my experience, I would expect to get my head bitten off if I said some many of the things these guys say.

Are the women I've known largely atypical? Is it me?
