• Strauss spent a lot of time learning magic tricks to establish value when he was doing sets. Do we really need all of those props? Is all of that necessary?

  • What are people's opinions about the emphasis paid to "peacocking" - to the point where Strauss was buying jewelry, glow-in-the-dark necklaces, getting a fake tan, etc?

  • Should we be memorizing a bunch of precooked cold openers and patterns? I can see the value of it, but it seems.... canned somehow. I'm open minded about it though.

Seems like the goal (for me at least) is not to be learning game in order to create a fake version of me, but instead to simply put out the new, improved version of me to the world, an Alpha Male me that knows his value, is able to demonstrate it, and is comfortable demonstrating intent to attractive women.

Anyways, I'm still reading. Didn't do a ton of practice today. Struck up a brief conversation with people checking me out of Costco (a cute girl and a guy). Did a brief, very mild opener asking them about their work, focused on the guy and tried to ignore the cute girl, but at the same time focused on my body language and tried to communicate some nonverbal "alpha-ness." She, predictably, tried to engage me, which I thought was interesting.

Also engaged a lady walking her dogs today. Again, very brief, but made eye contact, smiled, spoke slowly, used open posture. She smiled and engaged me back in conversation.

So, researching, doing very rudimentary in-field practice (hamstrung by having a kid in tow - had to focus on her today primarily), but was able to read while she played today. Still basically focused on inner game.
