Some of you know what I mean. One moment, you're talking to a good friend, and nothing's bothering you. Then the friend leaves and you're all alone. Suddenly it appears as though everyone else is surrounded by friends and having a blast. You feel as though all eyes are on you, as though everyone was thinking 'room full of people, and dude's got no one, what a sucker!'

That's when the panic sets in, the voices grow louder and I'll be so much in my head, I'm not able to recover. This happens every time I have no friends at a social meeting.

Yes, I realize this is effectively social anxiety, but I've done my best to recover from depression and anxiety. Even so, becoming a sociable people person is so difficult, I wanted to turn to you.

To begin with, I would like to simply stand being alone in a crowd without going crazy or thinking everyone assumes me a sucker. How could I get better at this with panic symptoms so severe? Going with friends is not an option anymore, I lost them all due to my illness, so I'll need new ones unfortunately.

Thanks in advance
