People are going to ignore you. Not just in seduction, but in real-life as well. With the exception of maybe your parents, nobody owes you their attention or affection.

This. OP nobody owes you shit, these girls don't owe you shit, so just suck it up and stop caring lol

Well I am not exactly butt hurt over it. But thank you.

Jesus Christ, the amount of “just ignore them” shit here is annoying. OP is asking for tactics for a better response rate. He did not say “how dare they!”
Ok, terrific. He’ll need to move on from these, but to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, OP is asking for a better phrasing tactic for the next time. Learn to read critically.

THANK YOU!

Maybe the frame of the conversation changed. If you're chatting for a few hours as pals and then suddenly drop the date bomb on them and they've already calibrated you in a friendly way, it'll throw them off and weird them out. Take a look at how you have been conversing. Personally I'd trim the conversations down a bit and ask them out sooner so there's no opportunity for misunderstood intentions. Build comfort and attraction in person, not over facebook.

Well the thing that bothers me is that most of my request were not asking them on a date, but rather setting up a situation where we could talk in person where I would begin to make my move.

Well maybe you should ask them out on a date.
If you message a girl at random over Facebook she's going to wonder about your intentions. Maybe build some rapport (50 messages or so) then say: "The real reason I messaged you is because I think you're X and want to take you out on a date to Y sometime."
Shit that is good. I will give that a shot if I decide to do this method again. Thank you!

Rejection is a part of self-improvement. There is no such thing as a "man who gets any woman he wants". But even if you get no response, do these activities you mention anyway. And yes, alone.

I am confused as to whether this is a form a rejection. I mean, I get the idea that they aren't interested. But how do I push the conversation along to try again?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
you can try talking about things she previously mentioned and you didnt talk about. Or just start a regular hi how are you conversation. If she doesnt reply, move on. There are literally billions of girls on the world.

also you were talking to them like friends for too long and I'm assuming you didn't get their phone number while interacting in person...you were friend-zoned man, that's why they didn't message you back. Those girls are pretending that they didn't read your message so that you can figure out on your own that they have no interest in you. Has happened to me too in the past
I have never been a strong believer in the friendzone. In fact most of my relationships have started with me in the friendzone. But you are right, I don't think I played these right.

Stop caring about it. Overcoming your need for a response and validation sounds like it needs to be your first big goal.
Dating new women (ESPECIALLY online) is such a craps shoot. They flake, you flake, they just want attention, something comes up, you're not interesting to them, etc. There are a million reasons a first time date won't work. Just roll with it and learn from every rejection.
Whoa there, I am in no need of validation. I am just wondering what silence means (is it rejection?). Basically I get that it is rejection, but I am also wondering how I could possibly push the conversation along or should I give up.

I have never had success with using Facebook to ask someone to hang out. I would totally just recommend going up to them face to face or asking for their number first. Im not super experienced in that department but from the limited times I was chatting to them on Facebook, they would just go right over the comment.
For example, one girl I was talking to even told my roommate to talk to her face to face and even months later was still okay with going on a date. It just had to be in person. Its one of those things to over come and learn from. I definitely did.
Facebook is unfortunately the only method of conversation I had with these girls at this point.

Don't message them anymore, because that makes you more needy. What do you win out of messaging them again? You will only lose time, pursue other girls. Now, if you want to message them because they are cool or you HONESTLY feel like it just to talk, then go ahead. But if it's to attempt to ask them out again, this will diminish your power even more
I have pretty much stopped talking to them all together. I don't play games. But I actually landed a girl today from school, so we will see how that goes.
