I don't agree with the part about always agreeing with others and never telling them they're wrong. A good technique to create attraction is to show a girl that you aren't afraid to disagree with her and show your opinion as well as be assertive.

One of the best guides to getting laid I've seen, honestly. And the funny thing is, unlike what people often say about pickup, there is nothing tricky or underhanded or dishonest about it. In fact, it's about becoming a better listener and engaging better with other people. Even other men.

I often force myself to really listen to male friends when they talk, and engage with what they're saying, rather than waiting for my turn to speak as people so often do. It's actually quite difficult! But it's a skill we all need to develop.

One thing many people report after meeting Bill Clinton, who probably has better social skills and has slept with more women than most anyone, is that he truly listens to you when you talk, and while you're talking to him, you feel like the only person on earth. To think, one of the world's most powerful men will actually truly listen to someone who's just an average person. We can learn from his excellent example.

I will partially disagree and say that sometimes asking a doctor (or anyone in general) about their work can be annoying. Maybe the guy you're asking doesn't want to talk about his work or school. It's a common occurence for people to not be passionate about their career. I find this can relate especially to girls--school is the last subject a girl would want to talk about since it can be a monotonous subject, especially in a non-sober environment.

I've read the book and enjoyed it but it's absolutely no pick up book! This is the book about how not to pick up! Everything in it is about how to win friends (surprise surprise, it's in the title) and that's the last thing what you want to do in seduction. You have way more other books what to read and study about seduction what will give you more stuff..

Few recommendations: 60 years of challenge, Undercover sex signals, lately I very enjoyed: Tao of badass by Christopher James (very similar to 60yoc but way shorter) and obviously The Game by Neil Strauss (That is must read, even I don't use any Mysterys techniques.) NLP, the technology of achievement is good book not only for seduction but lifestyle, motivation, confidence and success in general.

I completely disagree with most of the ideas in the book.

Robert Cialdini's bibliography offer a much better (if not updated) version of Carnegie's ideas, which can be applied to basically every social engagement, from seduction to workplace.
