so recently i had some oneitis. i do what i usually do when i realize i'm putting a girl on a pedestal, i back away, focus on myself, work out, work well at my job, get some space and fucking perspective.

this time though I felt like i was "playing" too much game, strategizing way too much and took what was a natural and nice back and forth with a girl i totally was into and just got cold and distant. of course the logic is i'm my own man, focus on my life and any girl that respect my manliness will just come back to me, but it didn't really work and it got me thinking, is oneitis ever good?

i personally think its bad, 99% of the time. but like, isn't that what true love is? and marriage that last 50 years? just when two people both MUTUALLY (even if rare) develop oneitis for each other. like if you want to fuck and have fun its horrible, but if you want a family and love and something deep is it ever ok to have oneitis?

I also realized many of my more successful relationships when i was younger was my persistence. that girls wouldn't believe I was into them until I kept trying and trying and eventually they'd fall for me. as i'm older and i know how much girls like to take attention just for ego stroking bullshit, i NEVER do that, i'm much more self respectful and take it and leave it attitude, but then its been much less successful. i agree with the seddit principles, and think the #1 most important thing is that putting anyone on a pedestal forces them to look down on you, but is there ever a time its good?
