Eh, shit happens, stuff comes up. Now if she makes a habit of it, and starts simply not returning calls/emails/texts at all, that's something else. Some girls are simply too chickenshit to tell you when it's over and just start ignoring you, hoping you'll take the hint. Had that happen to me once. Not fun, but a good learning experience.

If it's a genuine family emergency etc, tell them that's a shame, "I hope X gets better etc" and wait for the reschedule.

If it's because "she has to study for an exam"

Tell her too bad/sucks to be her and wait for the reschedule

If you have been dating her several times, maybe you have difficulties to spark attraction. So maybe she is bored. My guess would be not enough emotions.. You have to feel romanticaly involved. if you never initiated physical contact, or learn how to suggest emotions you are most likely doomed to the friendzone...
