Like I'm pretty new to this but I've heard that texting should be used not to establish a connection but to set up details.

So I ended up meeting a girl this weekend and later on that night we ended up hooking up. So I told her we'd go out some time this week. I texted her to ask her out 3 days later and that was it. And then when I texted her one last time about an hour before the date she flaked. When I asked why she didn't want to go out she just said, "I'm tired." So I said, "Oh ok, well just hit me up when you want to hang out then."

In my head I feel like it may be because I didn't keep any sexual tension going. I feel like if I had maybe texted her a bit to just to do a little flirting and she might have kept more interest in going out. But I can't tell if I'm not giving her enough to go on or if I'm just being needy.

Edit: Do the rules change after having sex the first time? Cause I haven't been flirting with her in the texts, either.
