In my opinion, no, it doesn't allow you to date "up."

Guys on seddit like to talk about the few ugly guys they've seen who have hot girlfriends. The thing is - it's his GIRLFRIEND. She over looked his physical appearance because he brought other things to the table that are valuable in a relationship. Stuff like kindness, a sense of protection and comfort, security, etc. She's not so much dating up as she is prioritizing some characteristics over others.

But game doesn't teach you that stuff. It teaches you to be cocky and funny and aggressive and dismissive. Those are good for getting casual sex, not girlfriends.

But when it comes to casual sex, the name of the game is looks. If you look good and have minimal social skills, you'll get it in. Being funny or whatever will lead to more success, but the importance of non-physical characteristics pales in comparison to the physical.

So, game is really helpful for guys who have the looks but need some help socializing. Everyone else would be better served spending their time improving themselves in other ways - whether it's increasing their physical attractiveness OR becoming a more well rounded person who would be a good boyfriend/husband.

For you, OP, if you've done that many approaches, you've learned all you can learn from PUA. It's time to look at yourself in a holistic light and find other ways to improve yourself. I'm not saying throw in the towel, I'm saying figure out where YOUR weak points are and improve them.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "game." The guys I know who can do this tend to be the social butterfly type who just have huge circles, are friends with everyone, get invited to everything, and have status within those groups. They're not necessarily trying to pick up strangers on the street or at bars.

Looks gives you an advantage but will not completely prohibit you from getting girls. Because if you are very ugly, then you're going to have to find a girl that has looks similar to yours. It is as simple as that. If you are very unattractive and keep approaching model looking girls, you're success rate will be low.

However, if you combine ugly looks with either status or money, then this changes things a little bit. Quite a lot actually. Status/money somewhat adds to your 'looks department' , if you are lacking such features.

Game (without status or money) will boost your chances with girls if applied correctly and if she already had some initial interest. IF there was no initial interest in your looks then there is not much 'game' can do for you.

I mean, a lot of it should be trial and error/calibrating. Try acting a little bit different the next few approaches, see how it goes, reevaluate and recalibrate.

But honestly man, I think you need to stop reading so much about pick up! You're isolating yourself from other people by so thoroughly enveloping yourself in it. Normal people don't think the way PUA coaches talk or write. Hell, PUA coaches don't even think like that - they're writing something to sell.

Take a step back from PUA for as long as you can. Read some fiction, watch some movies, etc. By all means, keep approaching if you want, just stop reading/watching/listening to PUA's.

Also the notion of "ALPHA MALE" is overblown IMO.

We;re not apes anymore and if we were to adopt that line of reasoning then the ABSOLUTE largest males would be getting the pick of the litter. (The 300 + 6'4 + guys)

The fact of the matter is, if you are 500 lbs and smell like farts, you are not going to be pulling 9s or 10s.

However, most guys underestimate their appearance. Most of the guys I know who rate themselves as 4's and 5's can date 7s and 8s just fine.

What I notice about PUA instructors(and myself and my friends who also do game) is that they seem to get girls who they are of equal looks with but with greater frequency (numbers game)

I've found this to be true as well, and that's one reason why I believe most PUA techniques are bullshit. Most "unbelievable in-field insta makeout footage!" is of instructors making out with girls of comprable hotness.

Even the attractive ones with money and status like Richard La Ruina, or Paul Janka?

I'm sure. Being a millionaire can take you a long way.

If you've never read Aaron Sleazy, I say give his blog a look. He debunks a lot of PUA woo crap and puts forward a more "natural" method.

What sort of guys do you often see these women with? Really, a lot of times I see women I think are too good looking for me and the guys they're with just look like normal dudes, to me.

Also, do you think there is much you (or a guy in general) can do to change how good looking he is? If so, what things?

You guys are leaving out one jey ingredient to picking up 9s and 10s. $$$. I work with a bumch of attorneya who are not makinga shit ton, but the word "attorney" implies money and the have wives and gfs that are 9/10 while they are like 6/7s at most.

I got a buddy who is 5’7 and has virtually zero jawline (recessed) and this dude fucks. And not plain girls, hot chicks. I’m 6’2 and have a fairly good jawline and I only slept with one of the girls once, he fucked her for 3 months straight. Game is real, don’t ever listen to that black pill nonsense
