Use texting to measure how much a girl is invested in you. Long messages, or fast replies is usually a good sign.

Texting can sort of be used to create a mental "cliff notes" of the girl. When interacting, you have things to bring up to lead conversation and build a connection. You can't build a connection through texting, it doesn't create the same dynamics as human interaction for connection. Don't reveal too much about yourself through texting or she won't have a reason to want to meet up with you. Force her to learn about you.

Don't oversaturate your market with texting. Texting has fucked me up so many times in the past, especially when just out of a relationship. Do not text too much and keep the girl on her toes.
