I'm excited and I have no reason to be, I don't have money, no girlfriend and my life is sort of a standstill right now but the past couple weeks have been lovely. Cold but lovely.

I'm sitting here, eating spaghetti and wondering what was the trigger to such bliss. Really, I've never felt like this before. Today I went out for a bit, did a couple approaches made some new friends and I have a date for tomorrow. You may be thinking, that's not that impressive and to be honest, no it's not. There's guy's that are a hundred times better than me at life, but why should I compare myself to someone else?

Unlike a lot of people that have made changes in their life, I didn't have a "revelation" and suddenly I was motivated to go out, pick up girls and accomplish things. When I read posts regarding such topics, I wonder if the people that write them are just talk. I don't think it's possible to wake up one day and say to yourself

"I'm going to change my life."

The brain doesn't work like that, such a drastic change may last a week or a month but you will burnout because you bit off more than you could chew. It's the same with seduction, every time I forced myself to approach by saying

"I'm going to approach ten girls today."

I set myself up for failure.Sure, I may of accomplished the goal for a few days but eventually I burned out. It was too much too soon. The worst thing, was when I didn't approach I felt terrible and contrary to what people told me, feeling terrible because I didn't approach didn't motivate me to approach. It made me hate the whole idea and I stopped doing it altogether.

Then one day I was out and noticed an attractive Russian girl. I wanted to talk to her and decided to approach, we chatted for a bit and it turns out she had a boyfriend. After the approach I thought to myself.

"Damn that was kind of fun."

A couple days later I approached another girl and once again had a fun little interaction. On the subway ride home I thought to myself,

"Why does approaching girls have to be work, it should be fun. Not a chore. It was so easy to approach when I didn't make a big deal out of it."

I think this a problem for a lot of people on here. You read so much about approach anxiety and how to beat it, you read about people that conquered it and it makes you think it's this huge foe that requires a monumental willpower to defeat. The more you learn about it, the more you start to believe it's bigger than what it is. It seems impossible to overcome. When in reality, it's not. It's this small insignificant thing that anyone and everyone can ignore.

Anxiety when approaching is nothing, it's just this thing you may feel. Chatting with girls is just a simple task, it's going up to a girl that's looking at the vegetables at the super market and saying.

"You know, I never understood the appeal of vegetables. They have like a cult following."

and that's it. Approaching should be like a taking a shit, you don't think about it.

Once I started to talk to more girls I learned through rejection that girls are a commodity in life. They will leave your life just as fast they entered. Every interaction with a girl that goes beyond the approach I view as a bonus, if she goes on a date with me it's a bonus. If she has sex with me, it's a bonus. If she becomes a fuck buddy it's a bonus even if she responds once to my text it's a bonus. I know she will leave my life, I'm prepared for that.

I found when I had this mentality it took a lot of pressure off me. The attachment to the outcome was lifted and I could learn to have fun around women. I've noticed with every player is that they actually enjoy being around women, they love women. When I started to embrace what women are and how they act as something you can't change is when my interactions improved ten fold.

"Never get attached to anything that at the sudden drop of a hat you can't release and walk away from...for that will be what destroys you"

I met a girl on the subway that was really interesting and very attractive, I almost felt like we "clicked" I got her number and we went on a date and later we fucked like jack rabbits. Only part of that story is true.

I got her number, texted her. She responds, I texted her back and no response. Prior to discovering that I should view all interactions beyond the first approach as a bonus I would of got depressed and wondered why she didn't respond. Instead, I was happy to have the conversation we had on the subway and that it continued a little past the initial approach. I was O.K with her not responding and the next day I went out met another girl who did respond to my text and later that week we met up for some drinks. I can't hate the girl on the subway for ignoring me, it's part of a girls nature and I can't fight it. From the moment I got subway girls number I knew she would leave my life anytime and I had to embrace it. Steven Mcqueen's quote that I've posted before works well with this.

"I live for myself and I answer to nobody."

The only person I answer is to myself, I'm not going to do something because other people want me to and I'm not going to suppress what I want in my life because of what others people think. I've been doing that most of my life and it's not very fun. Trust me.

The more I've approached and started to develop as a person the more interest I've gotten from girls. It really is true, girls have a sixth sense when it comes to confidence.

I can't owe this confidence to only myself, I wish I could but I've had help along the way. Since I've became more confident I've started to become less interested in things I used to do, mainly reddit.

"You are who you hang around with."

I've noticed that 99% of reddit users are lonely, losers, beta, broke, boring and severely lacking confidence. I don't really come here for advice anymore because I've learned that most of the advice given here is complete shit and people don't know what they are talking about. I don't want to associate myself with that demographic any more. Instead I've been viewing forums such as RooshV and reading books about the lifestyle of real players. Stories and lifestyles that will have you wondering why you even waste time on the internet. Through association and surrounding myself by influences that have the life I want, I've started to slowly embody traits of those people and increase my confidence.

I can't remember the last time I was this confident with my life, it's a nice feeling and I'm taking the time to enjoy it. The journey is just beginning and I wonder what new things I will learn and become. Go out and learn life's lessons, they will come to you in strange but fascinating ways. Ways that will speak to you, and put you on a path to slowly change your life. The world is an exciting and interesting place, and it's your decision to uncover the treasure within.

I appreciate comments on my writing, it's a passion if mine that I enjoy improving.
