I'm in the spot now of making major life changes that will result in getting what I want. As an adult my finances are a mess, I have no passion for my job, I know the type of woman I want but I'm still not OK with myself. The thing about quotes is that it's hard for us to resonate with them if we did not "discover" them on our own. Reading can only help to a certain extend, real life experiences is what makes the message stick.

I had a college professor say the same thing along the lines of taking tests and shit in class. He'd say:

"Everyone that got an A on the last exam, and everyone that failed. Look out the window. Do you think anyone out there cares about how you just did on this exam? No. The world will turn no matter what you do in life."

Depressing and humbling, but none the less extremely true. The only person that (really) wins and loses in life is yourself.
