Completely the opposite for me. After losing weight and actually giving a fuck about what I wear , I noticed people look at me a lot more than before. That helped me a lot to get used to eye contact.

I'm not sure if I'm talking bullshit here, but I think people will 'sense' if you are looking at them and look back at you?

I do notice this. For instance, I'll be walking in the school hallways watching the faces passing by, and no one seems to look back. Idk if that's the same thing you're talking about, but its similar at least.
