Really the more I interact with people, the more I realize how underrated intelligence is when flirting. Being able to formulate and express 'smooth' sentences is a blessing.

Having a controlled passion while having a conversation is the key IMO.

This makes the other side try and unlock the passion they notice is there but very controlled. Plus, gives the impression that there is an adventure being held out.

Example:

I was talking to this gorgeous girl about books, couldn't think of a more boring topic. I kept it civil, mentioned I have read the authors but their views seemed somewhat unconventional which I liked. Did not elaborate, this led to a very detailed and passionate response from her and a lot of kino from her side to emaphize points and to get me to say what I thought. Ended up being a good night, book discussion---lets get some wine(my place)----(afterthought)bed.

All passion is the same, question is can you unlock it with conversation or kino or confidence. All of them work the same. Passion leads to a heightened sense of the body and mind, changing it up to sex is a YMMV type of thing.

The best conversations in the world are the most boring things in the world. The stuff that makes it interesting is the subtext and the feeling behind the words. For example, check out this scene in up in the air. http://youtu.be/EePcWVFtRCU .They are talking about rewards from different things but you notice after the first minute the subtext changes. There is sexual tension. This is the difference between James Bond and us, besides the fact that he is a character from a movie.

Bond's basis for being smooth ... is that he is written that way. He is after all...fictional. He's probably not the best PUA model. :)

I feel like there's a method to the Frank Sinatras and the James Bonds of the world; but what is the basis of their smooth? WHY are they that way? What do they use in every day dialogue to make a woman swoon?

First mistake you're making here is comparing yourself to other people.

Second mistake would be to compare script dialogue to everyday interactions.

In any case, the quality you're looking for, there would be two aspects of it.

Pay attention. Stop analyzing the world and BE in it. Be aware of the world around you and the people in it because in that awareness is all the information you need to come up with savvy things to say. So many of those sly things that Bond says in movies, are based in awareness of everything going on around him, and simple observations of what he sees.
Experience and creativity. Despite what other people might think, creativity is not magic or confined to special people. It's based in becoming familiar with some subject or art, copying it..... then that familiarity lends insight about how to apply it or combine things in new ways. So watch videos of your favorite, most funny comedians or people you think are funny. Become really familiar with their style Overtime, you can gain insight into what your brand of slyness is.
Confidence is important too, obviously. You'd build this up by leading a life you can be proud of. Do you have a direction? Are you making progress in the things you want?
