I remember the post you are referring to and I think you are hitting the nail on the head with your assessment. I read that post and actually thought to myself, " why on earth would any self-respecting man go on a date with a girl who doesn't even dress up for the date". The whole story just reeked of desperation and manipulation (from both parties). I can't remember if he got laid or not, but nothing about that FR really suggested that the girl was fun or someone that I'd ever want to see more than once.

Funnily enough, the night before that was posted I actually went out and got laid and it was just polar opposite of how it went down in that guys FR. I comment pretty frequently in this sub, but I've never really posted before-- maybe it's time to drop a bit of my experiences?

So If I answered because I am stupid, then game is over? I don't see how any stuff in seduction makes a lot of sense. Personally after that line I would feel much more confident at saying something more assertive on next line or on the other hand the douchebag road "because I am crazy" and "I had a band", seems like you are saying too much too fast, you are making too much of an effort and besides what are you going to say next.

(Mostly because when I am flirting I talk just like that and dancing with words is real fun for me, in itself). edit: though I am not irresponsable at all.

I've been reading Models by Manson and his argument for vulnerability is pretty convincing, but I also have tons of respect for Rollo and his theory so I've been going back and forth in my head lately.

Sadly, my personal experience is more in line with Rollo's views, that vulnerability is a turn off for girls. While I've made lots of genuine friendships by showing my weaknesses, it's never gotten me in bed with a girl.

You could argue (and Mason does) that confident women respond positively to vulnerability, but I don't know who these "confident" women are. There certainly not the sorority girls or girls that go to clubbing, cause trust me, there not fucking "vulnerable" guys.

There are shitty people in this world and we just have to deal with it. We have to deal with their success, we have to deal with their being different from us.

I'd just like to point out that I think people who dislike the success of others are douche bags, or at least heading towards being a douche bag.

You know what I do when a douchey male is succeeding with a woman? I look at another woman and I think, "Well, this one has an opportunity at me, but that other woman is stuck with that piece of shit over there. Good riddance, a woman that wants a douche nozzle, and the douche nozzle himself, are now not my concern. Good for them both and good for me!"

There are no douchebags. That is an imaginary label inferior males and moral fags use to feel better about themselves when they see someone succeeding with methods they could never bring themselves to using. Then they go off mad at how women like douchebags and not nice guys like them, and make fucking weird youtube videos of it. Don't be that guy OP.

Guys who hate on douche bag tactics are closeted white knights even if they call themselves PUAs. They believe that women have some innocence or purity that makes them deserve gentlemen treatment. Most guys who behave like douche bags in a sexually charged social setting aren't so in real life. They are merely employing a tactic that has been proven to work for them on a certain type of woman. The reason it works is simple: most women, especially hot women, deep down, suffer from low self esteem. Women employ shit tests and other screening measures to weed out lesser men who might also have weak qualities like low self esteem. When they encounter a man who reinforces their low self esteem, they feel oddly attracted, as if he has some insight into their condition and can see past all the bullshit of their drama, shit tests etc. They become magnetically drawn to his confidence despite being verbally subjugated by him. Many guys use this as a bluff to get sex and nothing more. In fact, many are normal caring empathetic guys when in a relationship. The simple fact is that if women weren't attracted to douche bag behavior, most guys wouldn't employ it. If you despise these guys take a good look in the mirror; you might just be a blue pill, hater. Blame the laws of supply and demand.
