Uniqlo has some nice clothing, but it can be pretty pricey. But I'd rather spending a bit more on nicer clothing that'll last a while rather than something cheap but lower quality.

H&M is pretty good.

Sometimes I'll rock a t-shirt with a silly pop culture reference and cargo shorts. I don't give a shit, I do what I want.

Zara is my favorite. Best bang for your buck during sales season. Very European, modern and classic. Best if you are on the slimmer side. I like the basic pants, blazers, dress pants. I've had a zip up sweater that is almost 10 years old and looks almost brand new. I wear and wash it quite often. Their jackets are not very high quality and tend to rip after a couple seasons. So they are more disposable. I dress on the metro side, but stay away from the piece that are too fashion forward.

I used to be more into the high end European brands mainly because they are the best fit, but given the price and comparison to Zara, I find Zara to be great value for some pieces.

I like the calvin klein and uniqlo v-necks. H&M has some decent V-necks, but I like the uniqlo material.

My favorite dress shirts are Dolce and Gabbana, primarily due to the fit. They can be super expensive. My advise is find an off the rack dress shirt that fits like a glove (or needs minor adjustments to fit like a glove), then use that shirt as a template to have custom MTM shirts made locally so you can get custom materials and colours. This is fairly affordable at ~$100/pop. I've tried MTM from scratch but they never get the fit I like.

Banana republic vintage straight dark blue jeans have a nice fit. Get them during their 40-50% off sale at ~$45/pop. They also have some very well made shoes, surprisingly. During their sales I got them at $70.

I'm in Canada and get all my leather jackets at Danier. Very high quality leather and nice fits. Can get a nice leather jacket from $150-$300. Lots of good sales.

I have a fantastic peacoat from Ted Baker. Definitely an investment piece at ~$700. Has held up for 3 years, but the lining is starting to tear near the armpit, mostly because it is on the fitted size and when I twist it stretches slightly, but I was able to hand stitch it back.

There are department stores like H&M and Macys that can get pretty cheap as long as you go at the right times (during sales) while still being pretty stylish.

/r/frugalmalefashion is out there always posting pretty good deals on interesting clothes.

Copy who you think dresses well and ask/look up where they do the shopping.

Honestly dressing well is barely a factor. Just dress for the occasion

I personally love wearing plain black or white v neck shirts. They're fairly cheap depending on the brand and they look good.
