Been researching and monitoring and trying to play with this concept in field for a bit now, but just started to consciously monitor and control it. Decided to share it with you all, since it's definitely useful to internalize to the point it's intuitive when you're meeting women. It's definitely more advanced than "Oh, just say 'Hi' and try to get to know her!" but you don't have to have a harem of 10 women to internalize and utilize it.

So, it's basically how accessible the value you offer to a girl is; e.g.

Say a girl in a class of yours starts talking to you shortly after the college semester starts - bantering, rapport building one day, you think she clearly likes you. But there's one problem, she's fucking gorgeous, and you don't think with her designer clothes and stunning sense of style, long, flowing hair, seductive perfumes, warm smile and sexy feminine walk, and utter confidence in herself that it's even worth asking her out on a date. She asks you out and you're hesitant to accept but you do anyway, the day comes and you're too nervous to accept so you fake sick.

So you give up on her, you ignore her attempts because you think she's unattainable - you brush her off, probably thinking she has 10 other guys on her arm, asking her out.

I hope that was a decent enough example to help you empathize with girls who feel like you're too unattainable; e.g. "out of her league". Personally if that happened to me, I'd be overjoyed and would love to get to know her and make her my girlfriend, and probably most of you guys - but I'm trying to have everyone stand in a woman's shoes.

Here's a real world example of being too attainable.

Substitute at another bar since they needed some help, I see a girl that seems cool/attractive. Try some preselection out, get to know a few other bartenders, make some witty remarks. She eventually introduces herself and opens me, good sign, I step into a few of the conversations other people are having with her - and eventually she hooks - hard. She relates to what I'm telling her, basically playing the role I do in approaches, pretty rare thing to see with a new girl. Anyways, we get to the "How old are you?" question, and apparently she's 26, and I'm 21 - she teases me, "Oh, you're just a baby -laughs- I'm 26."

I start chasing a little bit and rapport build some more with her and even after the age comment she was trying to qualify herself "Oh, this rock star asked me out, etc." still good signs. Then I approach her after work, and she throws in "Hey, buddy!" to which I realize I wasn't being a challenge at all; my theory is between our ages, and lack of sexual intent/underpinnings inside of the conversation. Even as I write this I'm auto rejecting; she has bad teeth, she smokes, she has a weird voice - no one's perfect, but my reaction's interesting.

So basically, if your attainability's too high, the girl will likely dismiss you in a thoughtful way or try to imply you're just friends (e.g. the example above). If your attainability's too low, she'll react like your empathy centers inside of your brain did in the first example, above. When it's just right, the girl will be attracted; she'll feel challenged, but ultimately feels she has a reasonable chance to "get" you. So my advice for attainability:

  • If it's too low (she gets rude and aloof with you; distances herself) tone the "game" down, be real with her, get her comfortable with you. Be relaxed, don't pressure her (e.g. take the pressure off). I'm not trying to brag - I'm giving an example - I come off unattainable to most women just because of how I look (6'3", stay cut and been naturally weight lifting for three years), some clerks literally stutter when talking to me at stores. I remember with my last girlfriend who was blatantly gorgeous, amazing body, dancer, very feminine - at first I had to be very friendly with her and not challenge her at all. She always said "Really, you look that perfect when you wake up? You have the body of a model... I feel ugly around you..." of course most guys would kill to have this girl, she was plenty beautiful, but I had to stay very warm and real with her, compliment her - make her feel super special, etc. - probably why our relationship was great for what it was - because I didn't have to play games.
  • If it's too high (she's friendly/nice and uninterested; asks you why you can't just be friends, etc.) turn the heat UP, grill and probe her and have her open up to you; frame the interaction as her being the pursuer, not you, escalate investment from her (e.g. put the pressure ON). So with our girl I shared the experience with you all about above, she was interested at first, clearly, but gradually attraction went to shit because my presentation was lack luster compared to what led her to approach me and hook so quickly (e.g. presence). I could've framed her as the pursuer lots, flirted, got down to who she is and came off mysterious. With our girl above, she could've been vulnerable with you and could've integrated some self deprecating humor in there - maybe relate with you and make you feel significant with compliments "Wow... you're such an intriguing guy... but I feel like there's something more about you, what is it?" or "If you look that good with your clothes on, I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle you with none..." and got close and gave you very warm, sexy eye contact and all of her attention, etc.
  • If it's just right, keep doing what you're doing, but keep your thumb on it!

Probably hard to grasp for some guy who just started, but the more experienced guys will definitely be smiling and nodding.
