It's 1:15 AM here. I am in my bed trying to fall asleep. Random thoughts are scrolling in my head. Then, BOOM. I realize something.

5 hours ago I was in a market searching some good posters and a girl around my age starts searching next to me. She is searching posters of the same bands as me and even gets excited when she finds Sons of Anarchy posters, which is my favourite show. I get excited too and start looking at them. 2 minutes later her friend finally convinces her to go elsewhere.

I kept looking at the posters. Don't get me wrong, I am not afraid of talking to random people. It didn't even come to my mind to talk to her. It would have been an interesting conversation and even if she wasn't interested in dating me I would love to have a friend who likes absolutly the same stuff as me in a city where I have just moved.

This kind of scenario has happened to me more than once, and almost to everybody, I'm sure. That's why I want to ask the experienced guys here. What is your way to be aware that there might be someone interesting around you while you are distracted by something?
