I know you probably won't be swayed on this, but sexual compatability with your future partner is just as important as mental and spiritual compatability. It's far too risky, and far too important an aspect of a relationship to ignore until you're already married in my opinion. But it's your life at the end of the day!

Hey I want to also back up what others say about sexual compatibility. Two virgins getting married are essentially going in completely blind. I know that premarital sex is sinning, but so is a host of other things you do and somehow you're able to get forgiveness for that. So logically it makes no sense to me that sex is still off the table.

1- in the next couple of days I will strike up a quick and small conversation with women who I find attractive. No flirting, just a generic conversation.

2- after that my conversations will include Previous goals as well as the goal of getting her to smile/laugh/

3- after that, my conversations will include the previous goals as well as flirting and the goal of getting her name and number

This is just to get you into the habit of thinking on your feet, being confident, and training yourself to pick up social cues and noticing whether she's interested or not.

Heya, IANA Christian, but I'd suggest dating other Christians through your church or another.

Depending on your age/attitude people you meet who are not as devout as you might expect you to put out at some point. Depending on how your relationship goes with them this could put you in an awkward/sinfully tempting situation.

Dating is roughly the same regardless of your faith: Be attractive; don't be unattractive...

This isn't rooted in your genetics (God given traits?) As much as you think. Being clean, exercise, and dressing nice goes a loooong way.

If you are bored then you are boring, do stuff get a hobby, job, charity work. If you have things that interest you, you will have stuff to talk about! Most of the time potential dates will show interest in you if you are passionate about something (they don't necessarily need to do the same stuff as you). For me I prattle on about traveling and SCUBA diving and it works out pretty good.

Flip side of this is showing interest in their passions and getting them to talk about it. It's a two way street, you need to let them be interesting too!

As far as getting dates just talk to people! I find the nervousness about approach etc. diminishes if you talk to them as if they are someone you aren't interested in romantically. That gets your foot in the door which opens up to flirtation and maybe even some hand holding or a kiss! Perhaps even dancing should your Lord permit it.

You'll get rejected a time or ten, but really that ain't no thing... Ask a person for their number and they'll give it to you or they won't. If for some reason they react poorly or rudely when you approached politely, then it's more of a commentary on them than you. Don't be scared!

Also a christian here although I do not follow the "wait until marriage" view. You use the same approach as everyone else. Just state your intentions clearly. I will warn you though, human beings are sexual animals. You abstaining from sex until marriage is going to be a red flag for most younger girls who just want to have fun and enjoy themselves. Older women might have a different view as they are looking to settle down.

Your best success will be with other people following similar beliefs. They will really respect that view and it should make you much more attractive to them.

Be direct. Be honest about your intentions. Talk to girls.
