Hello fellow redpillers. I've been hitting the gym for a year and something and people (guys and girls) from my social circle have noticed my gains. The issue with them noticing my gains is that they tend to "shame" me whenever I wear a tight shirt and things like that. The "shame" they give to me is really light and they do it in a playful way. For example, if something (like a chair or a table) is really heavy to move or lift, they always say things like "Oh, since [my name] is so strong now that he goes to the gym, he should move/lift that haha" or things like that. It's not objectively "shaming" but I think that they're a bit insecure both males and females and they need to make this witty remarks to take value away from me.

Now, I have two questions for you:

  1. Has this hapenned to you?
  2. How can I "normalize" the situation so my friends (especially female friends, this is r/asktrp after all) stop making a big thing about me going to the gym?

Thank you.
