Hi, I'm currently reading The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. I'm having a hard time understanding the character types and with some of the 24 maneuvers as part of the seductive process.
I think it matters, and if it does, I'm in High School. So seduction is long term and could be good in my environment.
Is anyone willing to help or expand their knowledge on the subject, and would it be possible if I could PM you?
Currently: I view myself mainly as charismatic, and sometimes as a charmer & natural. I'm very good with "charming" adults but I've got questions regarding my character type(s).
1 & #2:
Wouldn't it be very easy to seduce someone whom you've been friends with? You naturally know their weaknesses, and their defenses are already down around you, so approaching indirectly is unnecessary?
How would I approach women indirectly in School. Do I approach them and ask if they are in X sport, introduce myself, and then build rapport/friendship and then move on with the next steps in the seductive process?
3: Send Mixed Signals is confusing me.
In regards to friends, do I sometimes come off friendly and then at sometimes come off as mean to them?
In regards to women, do I sometimes act sexual with them, and then most of the other time act as a friend?
4:
- This one I understand and very easy to apply. The main point is to show to others or your target/victim that other people are around you. This shows that you are a desirable person. Also spend less time with the same people, this is applying Law 16: Use absence to increase respect.
5 & #6:
So currently, I'm working on seducing a friend. He tends to not have fun and has trust/friend issues with most people. He views me as his friend and I always have a fun time. Do I criticize him and/or suggest he should stop being boring (#5)? And do I insinuate by sometimes dropping in on a conversation by discussing how I had a fun/great weekend (#6)?
Regarding women, do I criticize and/or suggest them for being boring, not having a great body, etc (#5)? Say I wanted constant sex or a relationship, Do I insinuate by sometimes talking about sex and me never having a girlfriend (#6)?
And after criticizing my target I act like nothing happened and just act like my normal self. If the criticism was harsh, I act extra nice to make sure I don't alienate them from me?
7:
- Is this basically the 'kiss ass' technique? Do I imitate the victim and view life in their lens? Is this when I validate them, make them feel good, compliment them? Basically I mirror their personality.
I've only read up til #7 and I will most likely have questions regarding the other process as I read along.
If you have ever successfully seduced someone with the knowledge gained through this book, would you tell us about it? I tend to learn from real life & current examples, would you share them?
