[Question] What tips do you have for approaches at bar dance floors?

It helps to know a few very basic dances moves while you're on there. (you can youtube search this) Besides that you have to touch her on the arm during your approach and get close and talk in her ear. Then back out, smile, dance for a second, talk some more. I think its a good idea to try and isolate her off the dance floor ASAP if you're a bad dancer, and after a few mins if you're good dancer and can show off a bit.

Be in the mood. First of all focus on having fun yourself. Once "you are the party" get near of that girl you like and instead of dancing around in a creepy way, just turn them around, or tap their shoulders, or whatever thing (polite way, don't be too rude) that makes them turn to you. Remember, to go direct for what you want shows confidence.

Once you get that, spin her, pull her softly, make her dance with you a little bit (kino). Now you get to ask "who are you?" or something silly like "I missed you". Or whatever. Just be fun. Get silly. Be a child.

She doesn't want to dance with you? Doesn't matter. You are already having fun. You are not needy for others to provide fun for you.

Last night I aimed my two fingers at my eyes, then the girls eyes in the "I'm watching you" motion with a bit of a smirk (I was genuinely having fun), she laughed, I waved her over, we talked a bit but nothing happened. Worth attempting to develop random things like that.

Don't ask to dance verbally - unless you have some super secret ninja way of doing this without sounding creepy!

I think it really depends on what type of bar/dancefloor you are talking about.

Country bar/pub style I find that knowing the lyrics and singing along/lipsyncing while making eye contact with them/pointing works pretty well.

Darker/clubbier places dance moves are pretty critical to getting noticed. Learn to shuffle. I can't believe how well I've seen that work for people.

Look for eye contact.

Oh, and body language.

You shouldnt really need to say much more than your name.
