Yeah kind of odd. Maybe she expected you to get all butthurt and insecure when she said she was busy and couldnt go out with you, and when you simply didnt respond, it made her attracted to you. Idk that is my best guess, she said yes so I would chalk it up as a win.

When you ask a girl out, LEAD. I usually give them a couple of specific options that I like (this is called a double bind). I also tell them what the date is going to be (I choose something I know she will like).

Also, I ask women out in person whenever possible.

It's not odd at all. When you invited her she was busy - she did not reject the person ( you) she just declined the event.

Girls don't chase. Even if they were super interested, they expect us guys to chase.. That's just how it is.

Now that you have got the date. Just go for it. Don't think too much.
