For some reason recently I was on a hot streak.

I hadn't quite realized why yet.

I thought it was pure luck.

A girl I was friends with had given me the idea that "opening up more" could help me attract more women.

I wasn't quite sure about that. A lot of times I was terrified to actually say what I was thinking or feeling, especially to a girl I was really attracted to.

But little by little, I'd been forcing myself to be more open and honest with girls about myself, my past, and how I was feeling at the moment.

AND WOMEN STARTED THROWING THEIR PANTIES AT ME.

Just kidding.

But I did see a huge change in the reactions I was getting. They seemed impressed by my sudden change in behavior. The ones who'd known me for awhile were pretty shocked.

And yes, a couple of them threw their panties at me.

Let me give you an example.

I met up with a Colombian girl I was good friends with in high school, who I'd always had a huge crush on. Unfortunately, she was usually dating older guys. When she wasn't, and I'd try to "run my game" on her, she'd think I was too much of a "smooth-talker."

She didn't quite trust me enough to let me advance on her.

Anyways, we had a couple drinks and caught up.

She asked how the ladies had been treating me.

I told her the honest truth, that I'd recently been crushed by a girl I really liked and wanted to like me, who didn't feel the same way. I told her about how the girl had lied to me and strung me along and fuck that bitch etc. How I couldn't see myself trusting another girl for a while, maybe ever. (I was being dramatic, I admit)

Once I started to spill some of that bitter honesty, I saw the "WHOA" look in her eye.

"WHOA", she said. (I told you)

"I've never heard you talk like that."

I explained to her how I was forcing myself to be more open with girls I was attracted to, because what I'd been doing hadn't been working and I thought brutal honesty deserved a shot.

When I said that, she looked at me completely differently. Like she was actually taking me seriously for the first time. Eventually, we went back to my apartment and after talking for another hour or so, did everything I'd fantasized about since the 9th grade.

A huge part of seduction is trust.

Not to say that every time you're open and honest a girl is going to want to jump your bones.

But she has to trust you enough, despite everything she's seen and heard, before she even debates whether to give herself up to you. There's no way around it.

So how do you gain that trust?

Through putting on a front and "faking it til you make it?" Or by becoming brutally, painfully honest, first with yourself and then with her?

For me it's an easy choice.
