Never look anywhere other than her eyes if you're trying to make ye contact. Why the hell would you look between her eyebrows? Also, since she's a woman, she'll probably break eye contact first most of the time, so you can pretty much just keep strong eye contact the entire time. And since a lot of people don't maintain eye contact constantly when it's their turn to speak, you really shouldn't have to worry about staring her down while she's talking.

I just wrote this to a guy but it's your end all be all in eye contact. First to answer your question it's okay to look in between her eyes, the last thing you wanna do is bounce all around. What I do is I only focus on one eye her left eye (to your right), left eye is the emotional side supposedly. People can't tell you're only looking at one eye it looks like you're just looking at both eyes. It's a great way to do it because it prevents you from going back and forth. (a tip after attraction has grown looking at her mouth signifies you want to kiss her, mix that in when you feel attraction as escalated, if she starts to look at your mouth DON'T HESITATE, go in for kiss right away)

But here's what I wrote to another guy... eye contact is so so underrated and can be quite powerful. Here are my tips on giving good eye contact.... Whenever you first lock eyes with a girl DO NOT break eye contact until she does first. Here's the kicker, women are not used to it, they are used to guys giving a quick glance, and in an effort not to look awkward, the guy typical looks away first. So when you lock eyes some girls hang on for quite some time, so much so you want to look away it's so awkward but RESIST. This shows confidence and it puts you in a unique bucket.

Couple important side notes. It works more effective if you catch her looking at you first since if you're the one that initiates the eye contact you're the aggressor not her. It's not a huge caveat but worth mentioning, I'd still do the hold eye contact if you make the initial look first, but try to peek in the corner of your eye to see if she gazes first it's just a little more effective (but not a deal breaker).

Also when she breaks you do too!!! Do not keep staring and wait for her to look back, if she looks back a second time and catches you continuing to stare then you just look like a creepy ass stalker DON'T DO THAT!

This is important in conversation too, I typically only break when she breaks first, then I mix a few breaks myself during the conversation. But it's all about showing dominance as a male with the eye contact, it's one way to show you're a confident man who is sure of himself.

But some guys take it too far, don't be creepy it will work against you

Side notes on eye direction and what to look for when you see her eyes:

If she looks over your head she's not too impressed, it's almost a cocky way of her telling you you ain't all that. If she looks sideways with her eyes it 50/50 she could be interested but could be neutral. If she looks down and to your left, this is VERY GOOD, it means she's thinking about a feeling she's having at that moment, which could be "wow this guy makes me feel good". If she looks down and to your right its also good means she's still submissive but maybe thinking about what she'll say next. The best is if she looks down and then sweeps her head across the floor, she is Def interested or at least finds you attractive. These are generally pretty good indicators but by no means set in stone, for instance the girl that looks over your head may just be putting up a bitch sheild, through conversation you could build that attraction.

Eye contact is great because if you hold it with her and she sees you doing it, the first few times she might look away but then she might start to maintain it with you. If she maintains it more than usual shes legitimately looking at you because shes probably interested at that point. If a girl has no interest her eyes will wonder 24/7 and never try and beat your amount of contact. I wish we could get a girls opinion on this because I feel like this is the biggest thing guys mess up on and its so effective and simple.
