It's basically because you don't care of the outcome with the less attractive girls, whilst with the amazingly hot girls, like SexyCyborgTittyFuck from the picture, you actually do care...and care a lot. Which makes you lose focus.

If you have ever done anything like sports or competitive games, you'll be familiar with the "choke" you get when you are about to do something which can make or break a game. It suddenly gets really hard to perform.

So people say "winners" can handle their shit, and always prevail, implying that it's something inherent in some people to excel at these things. The truth, though, is that the winners have practiced their stuff a lot more than the other guys, and are used to handling these situations.

So moral of the story? You have to continue practising. Every time you fail, figure out why and avoid doing that the next time. Never linger on failures, though. Accept them as is, and move on.

This might stem from a mindset where you think you are worhtless without your success. That people only value you for what you ahve achieved, therefore you are scared if you let someone like this into your life, seeing your true self, without your mask of succes.

Think of it this way: What do you have to offer if one is taking away all of your posessions? Find the answer to that. Value yourself for what you have achieved, since being successful is not just luck, it´s hard work, and this is a value that weighs more than just the outcome of your actions. On the other hand, a subjectively beautiful girl, what has she to offer?

Looks fade, and are just a small amount of work, most of it comes from good genes, and if you take this away, what will be left? You cannot assess this before you know her. Remind yourself whenever you see such girl, that she will get old, and her looks will fade, but what stays is her personality, and this is what you want to look for. Her personality, intelligence, humor, wit, behavior etc.

So, when i meet a girl, i sure see her appearance, and i value it enough to think to myself: "well, she looks cute." But what lies behind that facade? is she nice? caring, intelligent, witty? Nothing turns me more off than girls who are boring or dumb.

Try to make it a habit to think of her as a facade that you want to look through, to see the real person.

Good long game analysis here... if you want the short game answer it would be to use congruence i.e. say you're mid-conversation and she lists all of her accomplishments, your retort might be "Wow I can deal with ugly but I can't deal with stupid (or lazy/boring/lame)... jk, that is very rare. I'm honestly intimidated." Neg takes her off guard, congruence of thoughts/feelings/words are expressed, but you also showed her that you're entertained by, rather than intimidated by a small patch of insecurity you may have.

You said it perfectly, it is easier to talk to low-status girls. Well, OF COURSE IT IS, for everybody. If you can't seem to find the reasoning as to why, don't stress over it too much, it's good enough that you acknowledge it in the first place. What you have to do is break out of your zone of comfort. It makes you super-nervous to approach high-status woman, it does for all guys when we first start out. That doesn't mean don't do it, or find out why before you do. Just go out there and be comfortable with becoming uncomfortable!

It's not that you're intimidated by successful girls, it's your insecurity in regards to success (even though you seem pretty successful to me). It's stopping you from escalating with these women, as you have outlined in your examples.

I think you need to focus less on what value you can give them and focus more on what value they can give you, besides their success.

Make a list of non-physical and non-success-related qualities you find attractive in women (eg. same brand of humour, intellectually stimulating) and try to discover if these women have the qualities you're looking for next time you're out. You'll find that you won't be trying to qualify yourself to her as much and therefore less shy and dull. Instead, you will be the "chooser", a guy who knows what he wants and isn't fazed by success or beauty.

I reconcile this by my mindset.

"I'm bigger, stronger, and faster than any girl. In nature, size matters. If we were forced to fight bare knuckle to the death, I'd win 10 out of 10 times. Therefore I'm BETTER."
