Approaching a table

pull a chair from another table (I usually do this)
take a chair from someone seated there (I rarely do this but sometimes you have to)
kneel if you have to (I almost never do this)
just do the set standing (you lose value after a short while though)

Well I'm going to be honest, if she was on a double date and there were no chairs at the table I wouldn't approach. It's weird, rude and chances of it resulting in anything are slim. Instead, here's what I do. Since she's eye fucking you she's clearly attracted to you and wants to talk to you so next time you guys cross eyes, give her a slight smile and raise your glass as if you were to cheers with her. See how she responds, usually a friend will come over or she will come over and ask if you want to join them if they are open to socializing. Once that happens you are in. If nothing happens on to the next one.

One of the cool things to do is grab a chair from somewhere else, flip it backwards and sit down, its a symbol of still being the outsider but wanting to be invited and you arent imposing on people by making them scooch over. Once you get the go-ahead then you can flip your chair back to normal
