I'm posting this as I feel as though some of us on here are over calculating our moves a little... or maybe its just in my head, that's my question: do you think there is such a thing as being too good at the dating game?

I want to improve myself so I can get a girl, I'm 16 though so its not a case of I'm trying to bang girls in the club, I want a serious relationship (ive never been personally interested in the former, but to each his own). I do like, and am committed to the self improvement aspect, though I feel some of the dating things on here are a little too in depth and calculated for what I'm trying to achieve personally . I've read a few posts by guys about how their newest relationship is going, and some feel like reading a battle report written by a soldier reporting back to his general and analysing tactics and the lay of the land and planning the next move meticulously. perhaps I have more natural talent at talking to women than I realised and my problems come entirely from self doubt and indecisiveness, or perhaps I'm vastly underestimating the amount of effort and precise planning getting a girl to like you takes. in all honesty I don't want to play this game if I don't have to to get what I want, and I feel like if were not careful some of us are gonna get too caught up in "the approach" and all that and forget how to have a long term relationship. I don't want it just to be "my turn" to seduce a girl, and after sex just move on to the next one. I'm looking for someone to spend my life with.

what are your thoughts?
