Should you try to kiss a girl on the dancefloor when she is with her friends?

I her mixed things. Mainly I read NOT too, since she will reject you as she doesn't want to look like a slut in front of her friends.

But I think that knowledge worked against me recently ; I met 2 girls in a bar. Spoke to them both, They took me too a club where I met even more of their friends. We were all dancing together in a big group. I was getting closer to one of the girls (one of the original 2) who i'd been talking with a fair bit. She was dancing close, facing me, I had my hand on her hips, and I felt as though I should have kissed her, but I kept thinking about what i'd read on PUA sites, so I didn't 'go for it'. Shortly after, she went cold on me (maybe annoyed that I didn't make the move? I dunno) and then she went home.
