You need to come to terms with your own mortality to get that fire under your ass for optimal action. When you fully realize you only have one life, you start to live differently. All the people I know who are squeezing the juice out of life are intimately acquainted with the fact that they will die. Life having a time limit should propel us to action, but we often forget that we're in temporary bodies with dwindling energy. Realizing this basic fact will help you live a more full and colorful life.

How do you accept it? I accepted because I've almost died several times in my life: an intense car accident, a huge laceration, a chlorine spill. The knowledge that I could have not been here typing right now makes me more grateful to simply be alive; and knowing it could happen at any moment makes me want to experience things and accomplish my goals sooner rather than later.

  1. Come close to death
  2. Fake funeral service where you reflect on your life and step into a coffin (google it)
  3. Psychedelics and reflection

The only reason things have value is because they are limited in some way. If we could live for 10000 years, we'd just postpone everything. You're going to be dead forever (probably), so make use of the limited time you do have to do whatever the fuck you wanna do.
