Hey everyone. I'm a 22 year old college student, and recently I've been lurking a lot, picking up tips and finally approaching girls consistently for the first time ever. I had recently met a girl in an organization and things were going really well!

A few days ago I decided to go about planning a picnic for us, and we got into a pretty deep discussion about multiple topics. Religion came up, and she asked what I was, and I told her I was atheist. She spent the rest of the date distressed and kind of just out of it, and when I dropped her off she said she can't date someone with my viewpoints.

Now as frustrated as I am, I understand that for some people that's just a deal breaker and I get it. However, girls at the college that I'm currently attending are mostly Christian, and I know this might happen again. Part of me wants to just stick to my guns and keep trying until someone accepts me, but the other part of me doesn't want to miss out on experiences with these girls just because of one aspect of myself, and am maybe just considering next time saying i'm just not religious, or it's just not part of my life. What do you guys think I should do if this situation happens again?
