I need help. I recently moved to a different country, so everything is new.

I met a guy, called Bob, who is from the same county of me, so we got quite close.

Bob tried hard to hit on this girl, Alice, who's freaking hot, and he told me how he tried and tried, and how she clearly told him he has no chance.

Now this evening we went out all together, and a guy named Charlie told me that Alice expressed interest in me several times. I was surprised, because she didn't ever give me the least sign of interest, and because honestly she's fairly out of my league. What's more, I tried to dance with her that night, and she never got along.

Now, point 1. Should I trust Charlie? I cannot see any reason he would lie to me, left apart just making fun of me, but there is nothing in the behavior of Alice that makes me think he's right.

Point 2. Given that Alice would be really interested, should I try for her? I feel guilty about doing something against Bob, even though she clearly rejected him.

Any help please?
