I am a great fan of The Rational Male. Being aware of the polygamous nature of males and serial monogamy of females, how do these couples sustain their marriages? From what I read (correct me if I am wrong), Rollo Tomassi has been married for 16 years, I can think of numerous examples of friends, who have parents who are happily married for over 15 years, with several children, being in their 50s, still adoring each other, spontaneously touching each other.
Due to the Coolidge effect, do these men in successful marriages still have the same lust for their wives? How do they stay faithful?
I have read about women's pair bonds to expire after 5-7 years, the 7 year itch, how do we explain couples who have been together throughout their 20s for 6-7 years, then getting engaged and having several kids?
Someone stated that no matter how tight your game, eventually your female will want to acquire new alpha seed. How does Rollo Tomassi make sure that his wife only wants his seed?
I am by no means questioning the validity of TRP Theory. Is the answer a mix of biological and social upbringing? Monogamy is not the natural human state, but how do we explain these successful marraiges, apart from brushing them off as outliers?
