A woman will invest in a man only if he has high social status or after you've left an emotional impact. So, when on a date with a woman, you get her to invest in you (pursue you first/ do things for you) after you have stimulated her emotions very much or after sleeping with her. For most modern women, you have to sleep with them to get them to invest in you.

If you are struggling with escalating with women, reevaluate your approach. Are you approaching women indirectly and not indicating that you are romantically interested in them? If so, at some point in the conversation, establish romantic interest.

Be more controversial and less boring. Generally chatting is an awful way if you want the girl to invest, as she is chatting simultaneously with other people / scrolling through social media / watching videos, and that's the reason that you should be more controversial. You should do it in a calibrated way however because you don't want a negative response from her.

Chatting should be the medium to meet her in person. As far as the flirty vibes, this is something that should be established from the moment you meet her.
