Edit: Dude's even slanging his Facebook group in this thread. This is some of the most low-effort shit I've seen on this sub. Marketing's clearly the name of the game here. I mean, look at the quote. It doesn't come close to qualifying as original, yet he's attributing it to himself.

That said, the post has over 500 upvotes, so clearly it's working. GJ I guess.

I just kinda feel like using a phrase like this could be somewhat insensitive to use with someone who’s a victim of something like sexual harassment/assault. I mean, it makes sense I guess, but in things like that, I feel like it still ends up bordering on victim-blaming. But I don’t really know; that’s just my gut feeling tho. Obviously it’s a phrase meant in goodwill, but maybe the way it’s worded or something...? But, seriously, I don’t know... Correct me if I’m wrong?

There aren't lessons to learn in EVERY situation in life. Sometimes life is just unfair and sucks. Imagine being in the World Trade Center when the planes crashed into it. What did the people who were there learn? This is just a REALLY REALLY stupid quote that can be easily be debunked with simple examples.
