The initial consensus in terms of advice was to be more direct and show my intent. This resulted in some pretty bad rejections as can be seen in the most recent FR. The girl embarrassing me and shouting at me on the dancefloor is still playing on my mind, lol.

Now, from the replies in the most recent FR, the consensus is that I need to:

'Open with more fun' and 'make her laugh' off the open.

'Be less formal and make them smile and interested in me straight away

Be more funny and upbeat on approach

Now, in order to actually implement this advice, I need to have an idea of what i'm supposed to say and talk about on the open. If I try to implement the advice right this very second, i'd have no idea what to do/say

So, can people give me some ideas (words/lines/openers/sentences/something tangible) so that i'm better prepared and can at least come back with an FR knowing that I followed the advice and can thus come back at you for your thoughts
