Long time lurker here but always been too scared to really do anything with the advice given out on here.

Anyway, today was my last day visiting my family after a year of having have moved out. I've done a little bit of moving around and traveling because of work and tried making it a point to approach at least one pretty girl to either strike up a conversation, compliment, etc whenever I'm traveling through an airport. I've failed each and every time even though an airport is the ideal place for a beginner to practice /r/seduction advice, I just couldn't do it.

Today was different though. I don't know if it was the somber mood of leaving my family (I live pretty far away lol) or what but I was able to compliment a legit 10/10 today and she was fucking surprised! So here's the story for anyone curious.

I was sitting at the Gate waiting to board the plane messing around on my phone occasionally scanning the room to get out of my comfort zone. Nothing. Due to reasons, we had to actually take a shuttle out to the plane so as everyone was in the shuttle waiting for the last set of people to arrive I saw her step in. She was a legit 10/10 and totally my type. Seem's to have her shit together, around my age (I'm 19), and dressed almost identical to me khakis/crew neck sweater with collar shirt under...my weakness. Completely wife material. Like /r/seddit has taught me I look up from my phone and smile as she walks past me to stand behind me. Some old guy and a couple are having a conversation inches away from my face so I turned my head around to look out the back window of the bus (with the girl standing next to it). Anyway, it got pretty weird because it seemed like I was staring directly at her so I turn back to look in front of me. 3 said people are still talking about how they almost missed their flight the day before or some shit inches away from my face so I turn my head around again and 10/10 girl is staring directly at me. I'm not thinking too much about it, it's like 6 AM, but when she realizes that I caught(???) her staring she looks at me startled with the goofiest embarrassed grin I've ever seen in my life and does a 180 to face the window (like yes, literally an about-face military style) in the cutest fucking way possible while I still see her reflection smiling in the mirror as I look out as well.

At this point I'm thinking no-fucking-way and assume that the random guy next to her +20 years her senior is her SO or something...I don't know why I didn't make a move then. Typical excuses. Anyway we board the plane and she's sitting behind the row to my right (so I could easily catch her leaving the plane). I'd never forgive myself if I don't do anything. The entire hour and a half plane ride I'm trying to rehearse what I should say to her when we step out and I'm literally shaking out of fear at this point. The plane ride ends and I turn to try and reach for my bag at the top when I see her- standing and staring at me again. We locked eyes for like 10 seconds while we both had the cheesiest grins on our faces. I swear it was like something out of a movie. We depart the plane and I manage to tell her "Excuse me, but I just wanted to tell you that I love your hair and that you are a very beautiful woman" (I know...but this was the best I could come up with) like I had rehearsed 5 million times during the plane ride. She literally goes :O laughing in disbelief and looks around (not sure if it was out of embarrassment, to see if anyone else heard what I said since there were people inches away from us or what) but she said thank you with the most sincere smile I've ever seen in my life.
