So I've been in the game seriously for about a year or so now. (24M now) I've pretty much done everything at this point, but after a short but crazy relationship over the summer, I really want to get back into the game. I've been re-establishing myself at bars and stuff over the last four months, but I haven't even approached a girl yet. The biggest reason why is that my voice simply doesn't carry like a lot of other voices do.

When I'm out, I usually show up a bit earlier than most would, find a decent spot at the bar, and establish a bit of a repertoire with the bartender early. (One of my other issues is that my alcohol tolerance is high, so it takes more to loosen me up). When I show up, the place is usually quieter, so the fact that my voice isn't overly loud isn't an issue. But as places fill up, music starts, et cetera, I basically just order drinks with a head nod.

When it comes to approaching a girl cold, especially in a noisier place, I feel hopeless. There's nothing worse than hearing "WHAT!" over and over again when you're talking to somebody you don't know. Some nights I do notice chicks checking me out and giving all the "come talk to me" signs, but I never do. I also don't hear very well, either, especially in those environments. I'm not sure if I'm just over-thinking this or not, but my game is based on being able to crack observational jokes and stuff like that, but it doesn't work in noisy places that most chicks my age hang out. It's impossible to make a spark-like first impression on someone when they can't understand me.
