This was one of the first times I actually went out with the sole purpose of approaching girls. Before, I made excuses regarding lack of transportation, my age (just turned 18 a couple months ago), and my skin (I have a bunch of acne scars and pigmentation—working on it). But after weeks of watching Todd’s videos, RSDMax’s The Natural, other random PUA material, and jacking off to porn, I decided that I really didn’t have any excuses anymore. I had a car, I was 18 years old, and despite my skin being much worse in the past, I had achieved a fair bit of results through social circle game and such (still a virgin, though, really want to change that).

So this post contains an excerpt from a FR I just wrote about my first daygame "sesh" in probably years. First proper one, anyway. The full report's linked here, but it's super fucking long so I just put in a short excerpt of my last approach and number close.

Some key takeaways from today were:

  1. Momentum really helps and I should use it to my advantage at all times--talking to people is normal and my fear of approaching with other people around is completely irrational. Who's gonna step in and interrupt a dude who's just spreading good vibes and such?
  2. Challenges and stuff are good to get started but bar me from actually getting results since I focus more on "completing the challenge" then actually connecting with the girl and having fun. So many of my sets could've gone further but since I was focused on completing my challenge, I ejected way too quick.
  3. Don't eject! Ever! Only leave when she either outright says "Bye" (and even then you can persevere) or displays heavy signs of disinterest. Just staying in set can lead to some amazing interactions and if not, a much better reference experience over a simple "Hi" then "Bye"
  4. The general structure of a daygame approach is:
    1. Open - "Hi, you looked interesting/cute/elegant/cool and I wanted to say hi/meet you/see if you're as interesting as you looked"
    2. Statement of empathy - "I know this is kinda random, middle of the day and all"
    3. Light banter and flirting and getting to know her
    4. Gathering logistics - "So what are you doing right this second"
    5. Close or instant date
    6. (all this subject to review, i.e. take it with a grain of salt and go gather your own experiences!)

Excerpt from here

I walk into Forever 21, and I spot her. Asian, long hair, cute face. I admit, I falter a little, because right next to her is that other girl I approached before, the girl with the weird looking UGG boots. I skirt off in the other direction, silently eyeing her, seeing if that other girl left yet. Eventually she does, and I walk up to the asian girl. Honestly, looking back, I really should’ve just gone in. Hesitating really leaves its imprints on your approach, and going in bold and brash is almost always better than going in timid. I’m just talking to people, there’s nothing wrong about that.

Anyway, I come up to her, and say, “Hey, I thought you looked interesting and wanted to say hi.”

“Really? Me? Interesting?” she says, and I notice an accent, seems like she’s a foreign student or something.

“Haha yeah, I like your green cardigan.”

“Oh, thank you.” She laughs.

“You seem . . . hm, I’m trying to figure out where you come from without seeming racist,” I half-joke. “Chinese?”

“Mm-hm,” she says.

And we talk like this for a couple more minutes. I find out she’s actually a damn graduate student, and that she’s with her other friend just shopping around. Always good to get logistics. I explain to her, honestly, that I’m still in high school, that I’m 18, and the response I hear is very interesting. She basically goes “Oh,” with a really long extension, and I can hear the disappointment, almost. I think me being 18 wouldn’t have been that big a deal, but me being in high school probably made things a little too weird, her being a graduate student and all that.

So after talking for a couple minutes, I go in for the close.

“Let’s exchange numbers and go out for some drinks sometime this week.”

“Um, I think it might be better if we just exchange Facebook or something instead.”

Ah, a little resistant to giving her number away. “Oh do you not give your number away that often, or something.”

“No, it’s just that a number is a bit . . .”

“Hey, it’s totally fine. I’ll just send you a text, and if you think something like ‘God, this guy is totally lame,’ then cool, you don’t have to respond. But if you’re like ‘Wow, this guy’s pretty cool,’ then awesome.”

“Okay, okay,” she says, and I give her my phone.

I wish her a good day and leave.

Okay, so all in all, I think today was a great fucking day. I started simple, and slowly ramped up the “difficulty” to an eventual number close. Gotta say though, it wasn’t exactly “good’ game. For starters, I ejected way too quick. In fact, I shouldn’t have ejected at all from those good sets. I really think I could’ve transitioned into some instant dates if I just stayed in set. A lot of RSD videos talk about this, how most guys’ problems are that they don’t stay in set and eject too quickly. I was also way too rushed. I mean, of course I was, this was like my first “game session” in months, maybe even years. I felt myself getting too rushed at times, and since I was so focused on completing my challenges I didn’t go for moves that would’ve actually brought some real results.

Next time, I’m definitely planning to go into DC. I’ll go to the awesome parks and monuments and museums and shit. I actually want to progress in my sets this time. Stay in, and really play to win. I want to focus more on what she needs emotionally and act accordingly rather than focus on what I’m going to do next and shit. I want to calm down and let things develop and definitely not close within the first five minutes. I feel there are some great things to come (perhaps literally, haha).
